Emily’s story 

When Emily first came to Norfolk Industries, she was very nervous and didn’t know what to expect or even if she felt ready to take on the position.  

“From the first meeting, everyone was so welcoming that it put my mind at rest. My confidence grew so much, I was allowed to be creative and always felt valued and needed. The work in the office was interesting and varied and gave me the opportunity to brush up on some skills.” 

Following her placement with us, Emily felt confident to apply for work and was granted an interview at DWP in Norwich. Despite being incredibly nervous she got through the interviews to secure full time employment, and in less than a year was promoted to another role. 

Emily has since added “I have excelled in my job, always receiving excellent feedback at my one to ones and reviews. It has given me the self-belief to achieve another goal of climbing Ben Nevis. I would never have found the confidence and drive to do all this without the positive encouragement I received at Norfolk Industries.”
