EVOLVE is a new work placement and development programme which has been developed with European Funding through LIFT at Norfolk County Council.  It starts on 1st July 2018 and we are taking information from potential candidates from 1st June 2018.


EVOLVE stands for Experience, Volunteering, Opportunities, Learning, Valued which all leads to being more Employable. 

The programme is aimed at the following people -

  1. People who live in more rural communities, people living in Norwich city centre and Great Yarmouth town centre are not eligible.  Transport subsidies can be offered and travel training is also part of the programme to encourage people to apply who live in more rural areas.  There is an eligibility checker to enable to you check your address.
  2. People who are further away from being able to work due to being long term un-employed or due to a barrier such as disability, parenting, criminal record, or a general lack of work or life skills.

EVOLVE will offer a wide range of elemshutterstock 234140527ents (depending upon the abilities of the individual), including H&S training, TITAN training, CV Building, Interview Skills training, Fire Marshal training, Gateway assured programme including units on life skills and work skills.

We are looking for motivated individuals who are keen to learn and take that next step to becoming more employable in an effort to find work.  We cannot offer paid employment, but we can offer a programme of work experience and development in order to support you get closer to employment over a period of 8 to 12 weeks.

You need to commit at least 20 hours per week for the period of the programme in order to work in our factory on a work placement as well as actively taking part in a number of training and development opportunities which we will discuss with you and put together an Action Plan which suits your support needs and capabilities.  As mentioned above, TITAN travel training can also be provided as well as a travel cost subsidy if you coming from an area which lacks sufficient public transport or it is costly for you to get into the programme.
