Person Centred Approach in the Workplace

Here at Norfolk Industries, our work placement programme Evolve offers physical work experience but also a chance for our candidates to learn and improve on their skills, whether it be employment skills, life skills or project planning.  When offering such services it’s easy for some companies to just rush through and use it as a tick box exercise but here, we like to focus on the individual and their well-being, making it as person-centred as possible.

When our candidates leave the programme we aim to help them to find other work or learning opportunities that are in alignment with them, their likes, goals and passions and within their reach in their local community.

As such, it’s important for us to find out what they enjoy, what lights them up, drives them or makes them tick.  It helps with engagement on the programme but also with finding something that they will actually stick to and enjoy after they exit EVOLVE.  Happy volunteers/employees = happy employers too 😁
